Almost four years have passed since the first publication of the double biography of "The Sisters" by Barbara Borkowa released by the Princess Daisy von Pless Foundation in May 2016. Two years later, its “paperback” version appears on the market, supplemented with many new facts and findings.
The book was so popular that it was completely sold out by the fall of 2018. When deciding to revive it, the author and the Foundation decided to provide readers with a significantly expanded version, including new results of Barbara Borkowa's research on the life of Princess Daisy von Pless and her sister Shelagh, Duchess of Westminster.
In addition to the newly rediscovered fascinating accounts of contemporaries about Daisy and Shelagh, readers will learn in it many hitherto unknown facts from the life of the most famous Duchess of Pszczyna, such as - to reveal only a few - her involvement in the creation of an international press agency, her brutally interrupted relocation in her old age to her beloved England, or the trap she had unwittingly fallen into in the nefarious plan to kidnap two British generals!
An additional attraction of the new edition is the refreshed graphic design of the book. A number of photos published for the first time (among others from the family archives of Hochberg-Pless) and the finely toned cover that provides this edition with a unique position in Princess Daisy's bibliography.
